The Association
Mission Statement
The aim of the Association is the strengthening of understanding and friendship between the peoples of Britain and Germany
To increase membership both British and German at all levels and all ages, and at the same time stimulate its relationship with Affiliated Societies throughout Britain.
To provide an annual Programme of Interesting Events of various kinds designed to promote understanding and foster friendship. The bulk of these events will perforce be in London.
To build on the foundations laid by Youthbridge since 1992, a new phase to establish incentives for pupils in British Schools, to learn the German Language. We also seek to promote 'school twinning' & exchange visits, as a catalyst for future friendship.
To enhance its overall image in cooperation with the German Embassy and other organisations on the British-German scene.
To take a 'public position' when necessary on matters affecting British-German relations.
All this measured against changes and developments within Europe and paced commensurately with changes in the style and practices of society.
