The 10th Anniversary Nutcracker Ball, hosted by the British-German Association and the German-British Chamber, was a magical evening to be remembered. Over 400 guests attended the event on 25 November at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
After the Champagne Reception (sponsored by Degussa) the evening offered a number of new highlights such as the performance of the two principal dancers of the English National Ballet, Thomas Edur and Agnes Oaks, who danced the pas de deux of the Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker Suite, as well as the John Wilson Orchestra (sponsored by BASF) and the Band of the Coldstream Guards.
Among the raffle prizes were a year’s supply of Wella products and a round-the-world flight for two presented by Lufthansa. Our exclusive Tombola and the Auction of a bracelet by Fochtmann Munich and of a trip for two to Heidelberg from Heidelberg Tourismus raised record amounts for YOUTHBRIDGE, represented by six children from All Hallows Catholic School, Farnham.
