Youthbridge is a charitable initiative of the British-German Association To provide support for making German learning in English schools more relevant, interesting and fun, and to foster bilateral communication Youthbridge is supported financially by many of our corporate members who have recognized the value of this scheme. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them very much. |
What does Youthbridge provide?
Youthbridge is supported financially by many of our corporate members who have recognized the value of this scheme and consider it important enough to sponsor it most generously. We are therefore able to help in the following ways:
We provide an ASTRA Satellite dish for every Youthbridge school for pupils to watch German language programmes
We are running various competitions and events throughout the school year making learning German more enjoyable
We are trying to help to make the German content taught at our Youthbridge schools more relevant to today’s world and the work place
We support school trips to German partner schools as well as other bilateral extra-curricular activities and projects
We give Youthbridge Awards for good work in German
We can help to arrange work experience in the
We also ask our corporate supporters to go to our Youthbridge schools and give advice on how languages are applied in the work place.
Many of our corporate companies support particular schools with £1,500 per annum.
Youthbridge and some of the corporate companies have been involved in the Languages Review undertaken by Lord Dearing.
