Why Join?

The BGA exists to promote understanding and forge links between Britain and Germany. By being a Member of the BGA, you help to support these goals. Your membership also supports the work of our Youthbridge arm, which promotes and supports German-language teaching in British schools.

Membership of the Association includes individuals, companies, professional partnerships and affiliated societies, across the United Kingdom.

Join the BGA and benefit from being part of a community with a shared interest in UK-German relations.

Individual and Couples Membership

Members of the BGA benefit from being part of a community with a shared interest and affection for each other’s countries. Through our active programme of events, members are able to gain a better understanding of the rich cultural, historic, business and political interaction between the UK and Germany.

The BGA offers a diverse programme of events. Members have access to exclusive Members-only events, and advance booking and preferential rates for events open to non-members. Sustaining and Corporate Membership

Many leading UK and German companies are corporate members of the BGA. More than 2,500 German companies operate in the UK, with investments worth more than Euro 100 billion and employing 450,000 people.

Our corporate supporters are essential to the BGA’s work of promoting understanding and forging links between Britain and Germany. Corporate members receive early booking notification of a number of our events. Other events are arranged exclusively for corporate members. Sustaining corporate members have the opportunity for greater involvement in the running of the BGA.

Affiliated Societies

The BGA seeks to develop links with the many British-German Clubs, Societies and Town-Twinning organisations. Our Affiliated Members benefit from information about our events programme.  Bi-annually, our Affiliated Members are able to attend and participate in the Town-Twinning Conference, organised in partnership with the German Embassy.

Members of Affiliates are welcome to join the BGA and receive the advantages of BGA Membership. Click here to join.  Like other non-Members of the BGA, members of Affiliates are also welcome to apply for tickets to BGA events that are not reserved for Members.
